Currently Seeking at SCD Motors – March 2015

SCD Motors is seeking the following cars for Sports Car Digest readers and for our own stable. If you own one of these automobiles or know of an example that fits the criteria, please contact us directly at with as much information on the car as possible, including pictures and asking price. Alternatively, let us also know if you would like your dream car added to the list. Submissions will remain private.

German Marques

  • BMW (E30) M3: The M3 we’d like to find is a highly-original, no-stories example.
  • Porsche (964) America Roadster: Looking for a low-mileage, original car with a manual transmission.
  • Porsche (964) Carrera RS and RS 3.8: Like the America Roadster, low-mileage examples are preferred and originality is a must.
  • Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 MFI (1974-1976): Currently seeking a high-quality example of one of these cars.
  • Porsche 911 (Long and Short hood): Seeking high-quality, hot rod 911s; open to incomplete projects.

Italian Marques

  • Any Barchetta (Pre-1957): Examples with period racing history that are well documented are preferred.
  • Any Etceterini: Open to cars of all conditions.
  • Ferrari 365 GTC/4: Looking for high-quality examples with very high aesthetic and mechanical condition.
  • Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona: We’re after highly-original and well-documented cars.
  • Alfa Romeo Giulia and Giulietta Spider: We’d like to find a car that is complete and event ready.
  • Alfa Romeo GTV or Junior: Seeking mechanically fit and aesthetically acceptable cars; open to inaccurate and hot rod examples.
  • Ferrari-based Replica: Looking for quality 250 GTO, 250 TR, 250 SWB or other Ferrari-based replicas.

British Marques

  • Lotus Elan (Series 4) FHC or OTS: Interested in cars of any condition.
  • Lotus 2-Eleven: All cars considered; preferably Stateside.
  • Jaguar-based Replica: Interested in quality C- and D-Type, XKSS replicas.

French Marques

  • Citroen 2CV: We’re currently after a driver-quality 2CV. Early cars preferred with strong mechanicals.
